Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) Training and Developments Services
Penny qualified as a CIPFA accountant whilst working in Kent County Council. Following a range of roles in both County Councils and District Councils Penny joined CIPFA in 1998 initially running finance networks for Social Care, Education and Environmental Services. She is currently a key member of the CIPFA training services team.
She is an experienced trainer and facilitator in public sector finance and a specialist in the areas of:
- public sector accounting and financial management
- strategic planning and financial forecasting
- project management, tendering, contracting and procurement of public services
She works with authorities and other public sector organisations across the country providing both in-house training and open training events.
